This work of art was created with a lot of heart and passion and is inspired by my deep connection to animals. Since childhood, I have played a special role in their lives - and they in mine. I visited my grandmother on the farm in the summer, surrounded by dogs, cats, cows, chickens, geese and pigs. This environment was like a little paradise that shaped me. For me, animals embody something wonderful: an honest, pure joy of life and an unadulterated charisma.

With this watercolor of a small Corgi puppy in bright red and orange tones, I wanted to capture exactly this pure joy of life. It was important to me to make this energy and joy tangible and at the same time to further develop my own skills in painting dogs, as I have mainly illustrated cats up to now.

Colors play a central role in my work. Working with intense, strong tones is like a liberation of the soul for me. I love experimenting with bright colors and breathing life into them.

I hope that this work will convey these feelings of aliveness, joy and honest connection to animals to you and give you a small piece of this special energy.
